You get what you take.

All work and no play makes Noora a dull girl.

Today was my third day off after my parents left on 7th. Well I know no one believes me if I say that I haven't played at all despite working constantly. I don't even remember when I posted last time, so here's a quick recap of last couple of weeks. I moved in, started to look for a flat for term time, learnt that Aberdonian landlords are wankers, as the only response of the about 10 enquiries turned out to be a scam, so I decided to stay in the same flat for the term as well. Partly because all my stuff is here already so I only need to move them from one room to another, and partly because I knew I wouldn't find a cheaper accommodation in UK's second most expensive city to live in.

Also Rob left already back home to sort out things he need to do before his next chapter in life, but I'll be stopping at Coventry for a night on my way to Finland. Suitably on the day he left I did some retail therapy shopping, and bought my very first pair of cute shoes.
They're so cute! Not my style at all but so cute!
Also, as seems to be the pattern, my coworkers happened to be going out that evening so I joined them in 6' North, the new beer specialised bar in Aberdeen, which turned out to be very cosy place with beers that even I liked to drink! I've also been hunting cats on our backyard, and lucky for me, most of them don't mind keeping me company when I need those extra furry cuddles.

The guys had named him Hitler.
That's pretty much it, I've been working A LOT. But on Saturday, when I enter the Megabus and start my 10 hour journey towards London, my summer holiday officially starts and I can enjoy August at home. And at the end of the month will be brother's wedding, can't wait! Oh, I just want this week to be over and on the plane to Finland. Or just out of Aberdeen already. I have one double shift day left and two one shift days and then I'm out!

To finish, here's my personal mottoes from this summer.

I know it's only Rock'n'Roll but I like it.

After the hectic graduation week I started to notice that the lifestyle really wasn't doing good for my skin. But I guess that after two weeks of somewhat regular drinking and partying it's quite given that it'll show on your face. Luckily Sainsbury's put Naked-smoothies on discount so I've been overly compensating by using them like crack. I also managed to go for a run with my friend. Can you imagine, me, RUN?! And I didn't even die! It was fairly short run but still! I had to blast Rocky music afterwards because it was such a winner moment for me to survive from that form of exercise. I'm pretty sure I can conquer the world now.

I moved a week ago to my new flat for the rest of the month and as I haven't spent too much time here yet with the guys, my new love nest still looks like this:

It doesn't really help that there's about four guys' stuff in the room as well on top of mine, so I won't be unpacking at all, just maybe switching stuff between luggage's so that I would have some general idea where my stuff is. I was going to do that tonight but I just found the Rolling Stone's Glastonbury concert and suddenly I feel really busy... But my bed is HUGE! The two nights that I've spent here I've been star fishing the night away. Especially as I have enough stuff to do anyway, apparently Kela (The Finnish national social service thingy) has decided that I'm no longer included into the Finnish Social Service system. This paperwork will be fun, especially since I don't know if I'll make it back to Finland before the deadline passes. Oh well, shouldn't be too hard once I get to go to the office.

Anyway, this was really brief post, I've been just working otherwise, went to see Monsters University and Despicable Me 2 with Rob previously, both really funny movies, though not as good as their first movies, but that was going to be obvious anyway. Now I need to go take advantage of the good weather in Aberdeen and put my laundry dry outside! I've been missing that privilege for a year...

Viva Academia, Vivant Professores!

Again I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

Graduation kiss.
Ready for the Graduation Ball
Drink responsibly ;)

Dagen efter.
It's all over!
I just got all my stuff to the Finnish guys' house where I'll be staying for the rest of the month before going home. I decided to stay in Aberdeen for my Master's and next year I'll be MSc in Strategic Studies and Management in addition to the Master of Arts in Politics & International Relations I just received!

The G-day!

It's finally here! I'm gratuating! Whoop-whoop.

I'll be back next week after all Graduating week-shenanigans are over. (Who would have thought that I could fit into this dress today when I bought it in 2006)
