You don't get what you deserve.
You get what you take.

Final finals time.

This week hasn't been too special, except that we had our anniversary! Though I have had an anniversary before, but we didn't really keep count and never celebrated it. So this time I wanted to do something special, so I took Rob out for dinner to a lovely sushi restaurant. He doesn't like fish at all (what kind of person doesn't like fish?!) and this was my sneaky attempt to make him more tolerable towards seafood. Unfortunately I'm not cruel enough to take him to a seafood-only restaurant so he was able to order chicken teriyaki and I gave him to try my sushi (is it just me or does that sound a bit wrong?). Anyway, apparently it wasn't the worst food ever, so he can be sure to get sushi whenever possible now, as I'm a "slightly" obsessed with sushi. Especially salmon sashimi. Mmmm... After that we went for couple of drams to the Grill, where I got some additional shifts for next week. I know now why I haven't been there as customer, can't get a break even when you're not working ;) (just kidding, I love the place and enjoy working there those odd shifts)
Since he understood my "you'd better get me flowers"-"request", I think I'll keep him for another year
After that, we went for couple of drinks to Tippling House, which is a must see place for people in Aberdeen. The drinks are a bit more expensive, but they are definitely worth it as they are simply amazing! And the atmosphere is great as well, little dark underground bar.

Besides that, I've been just working, working and working. Yesterday was my only day off this week so as a proper student, I spent it in the library. I have to say, I've never before spent 10 hour in the library nor got so much done as I did yesterday.

Revision has never been this romantic before.

I also got my offer to study masters in Aberdeen, but I'm keeping it on hold until I hear from other places.

Now back to revision before seeing my friend for dinner! (Who am I kidding, I'm just going to watch another episode of Game of Thrones...)

Busy busy bee.

Last week was awesome, but also full of the feeling of letting go and moving on. There were many get-togethers to ease this feeling and I still dont understand the fact that last week I had my final lectures and classes of undergraduate degree. It's all happening a bit too fast.

Anyway, I found out that I got 17 for my dissertation, FUCK YEAH. I also got better than even hoped mark from my essay, which was not expected as most people failed it pretty much. Also, I nailed a job interview and got another job for summer, so I'll be working working working and working during June and July, because let's face it, it's not like I was going to be going to the beach in here anyway. I also got more shifts to my old work and it was nice to go see the old regulars at the bar. They must have missed me so much, as they've replaced me with another Finn!

I still haven't heard from Paris, so fingers crossed. While procrasti
nating (can you imagine? I was avoiding uni work?!) I notised that Oslo's Master's degrees are still open to apply for Nordic students, so I put my application in as well. Because why nae? This week I'm working on every day except Saturday, so every spare moment needs to be spent studying as I need to go to Finland next week between my exams for the weekend for my beautiful friends beautiful wedding.

AND I FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT, ICE HOCKEY! This is the highlight of my year, and every year I'm as excited as before. AND WE WON RUSSIA ON FRIDAY? I was so sure we were going to get our asses kicked. I made sure everyone in the Bobbin knew that we won them. I was even talking about that to one of my old professors :D

And to the end the mandatory cub picture.

On Thursday the Create Change Societies (Pol& IR, Amnesty and UNYSA) organised a lovely ball with James Bond theme. It was a great evening with good food, music, ceilidh (and obviously some wine). I even got two desserts as one girl on my table didn't want hers. WHO DOESN'T LIKE STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING?! Seriously, I couldn't believe her. Oh well, I didn't mind eating two of them. And the best part was that I didn't turn into an obnoxious bitch, but actually was able to enjoy the night! Hurrah for me! I seem to forget to take any pictures of events like this, but here's couple of pictures anyway:

I had to take a picture while getting ready to make sure I had at least one picture of me in the dress. As some of you may notice, I'm not the tidiest person ever.

In a proper Bond-girl manner it was a real "girls' night out" ;)
Mandatory couple-picture
The Queen of Hearts. As I am a notorious heart breaker...
I always forget how much fun ceilidh is and every time I first resist the urge to go dance and then end up dancing until my feet are sore from all the jumping and I'm sweating like a little pig in a sauna. I also realised that I've been to Scotland for too long since I get the same sentiments from Auld Lang Syne as I get from the Finnish national anthem. Who knows, maybe I'll spend another year in this promised land of the kilts?

Bad Influence.

I was told (again) that I'm bad influence on one of my friends by her boyfriend, even though it was her idea to go for a pint on Saturday! And the next one was her idea as well, and it's not my fault that we met up with my coworker and then ended up bar hopping until 2am! These things seem to happen to me a lot... Next morning was a bit slow, but Rob had organised us a lovely ride to a town called Banchory, so I didn't have too much time to feel hungover.

Banchory was such a lovely place, very small so about two hours were enough to walk around and have a lovely brunch. It was so nice to get out of Aberdeen even just for a while and see Aberdeenshire a bit more. I'm not good at describing places, so here's some pictures instead:

I'm starting to enjoy this disgustingly cute coupley thingy <3 br="">

Why do I always have to touch water?

Mmm, best hungover food :D
On Monday I went to try Fitness yoga for the first time and oh the awkward moment when your professor is in the same class! Though I wish I had seen him earlier so that I could have said hi to him. And oh dear I had no idea what to expect from the class, but it just felt a bit odd. But now for two days I've been feeling very very sore...

Yesterday was Walpurg's celebration so the Nordic Society had organised a gathering in the Seaton Park so I went there with few friends to have couple of drinks and be all Finnish for a while. I don't think I've felt so old in a while. There were YOUTH EVERYWHERE and I didn't know ANYONE. I haven't been involved in the Nordic Soc circles in a while now and yesterday I could tell that from the fact that there were tons of people, some speaking Finnish and I have no idea who they are. To be more Finnish I obviously made no attempts to get to know anyone, but had a good night anyway, going to Bobbin with my girls (and boys about 20 mins later) after it became too cold. But at least I resisted the temptation of going to Becky's with the guys and got to enjoy hungover free morning, yay!

I can't believe uni is almost finished, 1,5 weeks left! Crazy stuff.
