You get what you take.

Valhalla, I am coming.

As most of you probably know by now, I'm currently in Iceland, and will be spending my summer here. After I arrived home last Tuesday, I found an email that said that I had gotten a Nordjobb from Reykjavik starting from 1st of June, so here I arrived today. I almost have an ocean view from my window and the sea is everywhere! I live in a small room separated from the rest of this house, but I share the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom with my landlady. Tomorrow I start my job, but I'll post more of it when I know what it's like.

My Deep South-tour was amazing, and I was positively surprised nice traveling by car actually can be. Within a week we drove a bit less than 2500 miles, with stops in Austin, New Orleans, Montgomery (not for the night), Auburn (also not for the night), Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis (not for the night), Jackson (only for the night), Houston (Jenny's stop) from where I continued back to Austin and home. I have about 550 pictures from the trip and even though I had to show them almost everyday to different relatives last week, I'm too tired to think which to put in here, so they'll follow later. Also, I probably update more details about the trip, but currently I can't think of anything else but unpacking and sleeping (I woke up 3:30 this morning to drive first to Helsinki), so this is just a quick update that I'm still alive and obviously quite busy.

Ihanaa Leijonat, ihanaa!

Don't tell me that it's over

This is my last night in Abq, and I had to say one of the hardest goodbyes today.

Even though I've not been that keen of the city or UNM, during these 9 months, I've met so wonderful people and got such experiences, that I can't and in a way don't even want to go deeper on them now. I'm going to miss all of you so much and I hope that this wasn't the last goodbye.

I'm now at my wonderful host's, Eila's, home, from where my time in here also started. I'm so happy of everything that Eila and Aili have done for me, and they are the main reason why I feel like I have that I have a family in here. Today was the perfect last day, we had a lunch, and then I enjoyed the sauna and hot tube. I've been able to calm down and think everything that has happened to me in peace and quiet.

There are so many things to be said but I don't think that they are even meant to be said. I'm happy that I got this experience, though leaving it is hard.

6 days left.

Everything feels vague and blurry right now,
the stress is piling up because of the final exams and packing.

I finally booked flight to Austin for next Sunday and from there the amazing The Deep South -roadtrip starts. I can't wait, but I'm not sure if I want to leave New Mexico permanently yet.
At least I'll get to see my wonderful hostesses once more because I'll go to Eila's house for the night before leaving.

16 more days and I'm in Finland!

I'll go back to my books now, 4 exams to go.
