One of those weeks..

Hmm, my new decision to post more pictures didn't last too long, because I'm really lazy at taking pictures. But anyway, I'll try to put them up here if I get to take any.

This week has not been exciting in any way, I've been mainly feeling really weird and kind of down about everything, but hopefully it'll go away soon. So that it wouldn't sound too bad, here's some "highlights" of this week:
I went to a comic book shop, and apparently many girls won't go there by themselves, because the shopkeepers looker rather shocked when I entered. It was really nice place though, but when they started singing I thought it would be rude to laugh there, so I had to leave.
Someone on the street said that I was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen... right before he asked for some change... I know it doesn't sounds too bad here, but those homeless people on Central Avenue can be extremely creepy. I'll never forget when I was told that I looked "pure".
On Friday I finally got to let off some steam (and I really needed it), though I didn't feel like going out earlier that evening, but I'm really glad that I did go eventually.

Now I should really catch up with my readings..

Spring Break.

I decided that maybe I should start putting more amateur-quality pictures, and write less horrible grammar. So this was my Spring break in pictures.
White Sands. My camera loved the brightness.

Carlsbad Cavern.

+22'C

So now the Spring break has started, and because of the turmoil in Libya etc. the airplane tickets were about x4 higher than usually. So it's going to be a local break for me, hopefully seeing at least Santa Fe, Carlsbad Caverns and White Sands.

The picture is from the campus' duck pond, where I managed to burn my back yesterday.

Decisions, decisions...

!! Another post within a week! (Don't get used to it..)
I'm having trouble deciding what to do on spring break, because the originals plans with my host won't be happening. The plan was to go to L.A., which I can still do, but I'd have to go by myself. Now my other choices are Washington DC, Seattle (in both of these I would have accommodation arranged already), or then a California -tour, which I'd probably be doing by myself. All of these are places I want to visit at some point, and it makes it even harder that I only have a week to decide. I should probably check my budget at this point, because free accommodation is always free accommodation, though I'd love to go to San Francisco (as some of you probably know).

I should do something with my sleeping schedule, because getting any sleep at 4 am when you have to wake up at 7 is not great. Now I can luckily blame my trip to Finland for causing this, if I "forget" to mention that it was also the case before that journey... Maybe I should try to have less and shorter naps, but I'm not sure if I want to.

I know this was kind of short and unnecessary post, but I just wanted to prove myself that I can write more often than once a month.

"I'll try to post more often..."

But to my defense, not much has happened.

I've been mainly more or less sick, (not) doing my homework and watching movies. And it's warm again, closer to +20'C.

A week ago I went to Chama with Aili and her friends to snowmobile, which was great, especially because I've been doing that last time over 10 years ago. We spent the weekend there in the cold and snow, which was funny because the place is only 4 hours drive away, but the climate is completely different to Albuquerque. Though the location we chose for snowmobiling was over 11 ooo feet when ABQ is about 5 ooo feet. Unfortunately I recovered my cold there and it did not help with my short trip to Finland.

I left last Wednesday and arrived on Thursday evening to Helsinki. Thanks to the VR (the train company) 7 minutes delay, I made it to the last train to Joensuu and finally, after 27 hours of traveling, I arrived home. My grandpa passed away couple of weeks ago, so the reason for my trip was to participate in his funeral. it was definitely not the best of my weekends, but I'm really happy I went there, no matter how hard the trip and weekend was both mentally and physically. I spent 3 nights home and one in Helsinki (but I got to see Eero and Milla!). Before leaving I went to see a doctor on Tuesday, and apparently she gave me pretty strong prescriptions, because my aunt who's nurse from education called my medication as a "horse cure". And I did feel pretty good with them :D But they didn't really do anything to my condition, only made the symptoms milder.

I returned yesterday, and now I should catch up with what I missed last week and on Monday. Or go to sleep.
